Focus stacking
Also known as focus stack. Category: Photography techniques
Focus stacking combines several exposures of the same scene, each focused at a different distance, into one image that is sharp from front to back. It extends depth of field beyond what a single exposure allows, which is useful in macro and product photography.
How PhotoRobot uses it
PhotoRobot lists focus stacking among the shooting functions of its production workflow and among the processing techniques integrated in PhotoRobot Controls.
