CRI (colour rendering index)
Also known as CRI, colour rendering index, color rendering index. Category: Lighting and optics
The colour rendering index (CRI) rates how faithfully a light source reproduces the colours of objects compared with a reference source, on a scale up to 100. Lights for product photography should have a high CRI, typically 95 or more, so colours in images match the real product.
How PhotoRobot uses it
LED lights documented for PhotoRobot systems list CRI values of 95 to 96. PhotoRobot notes that LED lighting with a low CRI leaves gaps in the colour spectrum, which later image editing or generation tools cannot recover.

For example, using LED lighting with low CRI produces photos where part of the color spectrum is missing.
